Produced: April 2003 Written and directed by Chris McKenzie and Kenneth Tebo Played at ImprovAsylum (Boston, Mass.) Director's Cut event in late 2005 Plot summary: A femme fatale (Jenny Morris) draws an obsessed man into a murderous scheme. This was shot for an assignment to create a film noir on 16mm black-and-white film. We shot it on a hand-cranked Bolex, which means that it had to be silent (i.e., no dialogue). This project was my first painful lesson in how long it really takes to make movies, and the shooting went on into the wee hours of the morning every night we shot. But both Jenny and Bridget (Chris' wife, who orchestrated the whole production, short of the actual shooting) were troopers, and we finally managed to finish it. We would have entered it into festivals had we actually gotten some original music. As it is, we use two songs: Tower of Our Tuning and Dead the Long Year, both by Broadcast.
