Today was the big premiere, and we couldn't be happier with how it went! People really seemed to respond to it! As you can see in the picture, Carl Mark Osborn, our Thief, came down to see the film. Lots of Christopher and Bridget's family and friends were on hand as well. To see more pictures of the event, click here. June 10, 2010
We're having a great time at the festival so far. Tomorrow is the big premiere! (see information on the screening below) Today, we were given a tour of the under-construction American Indian Cultural Center & Museum by its executive director, Gena Timberman (who happens to be a former Mustang High School classmate of Christopher's). It's an incredible sight; when it's completed it will be more than a cultural center -- it will be an icon, a piece of public art that will become part of what people will think of when they think of Oklahoma. Above is a picture of Gena and Christopher at the construction site. For more images of this great facility in progress, check out this Facebook album. June 4, 2010 Here's our new poster!
June 3, 2010 Here's all the information you should need to attend the premiere! Friday, June 11, 6 p.m. Here's a link to a deal on screening tickets -- 2 for just $10! This will allow you to buy "Groupons", which you would then exchange for tickets at the festival itself. We're not 100% sure how it works, but you might want to check it out! For more information or to buy tickets, you can call 405-246-9233. But regardless of how you get your tickets, you should arrive early! Indian Girl is screening as part of the "Okie Shorts 1" program, which the festival says is a particularly popular event each year. Here's what the festival said in an e-mail to us: "If friends and family want to see your film, and your film only, I would encourage them to arrive at your screening early to purchase a ticket. All-Access passholders are seated first, and then … the rest are seated first-come, first-served." We hope a lot of you can make it! If you do come, please seek Christopher and Bridget out and say hello. April 2010 Indian Girl has been accepted to the deadCENTER Film Festival in Oklahoma City! This is the perfect place to have the premiere since, of course, the film was made in Oklahoma and is centered around the state's history. What's more, it means many people who were involved in the production of the film will be able to attend. The film will screen as part of the "Okie Shorts 1" presentation on June 11 at 6 p.m. at the Kerr Auditorium in downtown Oklahoma City. Christopher and Bridget will be in attendance and we hope to see as many of you at the screening as can muster it! If you do come, make sure to find us and say hello! February 2010 Once and for all, the film is finally done! Only took four years… but still, we put the final touches on the sound sweetening today. We hope you'll see (and hear!) it and agree that it was worth the wait. The plan now is to submit the film to festivals around the country with the aim of drumming up interest in expanding on the project. After all, the two segments of the short film are just the beginning! To see the production blog, with lots of pictures from the before, during and after the shoot, click here. |
